Dr. Jenna Canino, DVM & Owner

Dr. Jenna Canino is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Veterinary Medicine and is an active member of the national and state Veterinary Medical Associations. She regularly attends conferences to keep abreast of the rapid advancements in veterinary medicine. The team’s goal is to provide exceptional care for your pet while taking the time to educate you about your health care options.
When Dr. Canino is not working to care for your pets, she is a busy wife and mother of two young children; Frank 4, and Mira, 3. When she has spare time, she enjoys gardening and being outdoors. She has 2 cats at home with her, Jack and Baby.

Laura Tracey, Office Manager

Laura is both the Office Manager and Veterinary Assistant here. She has been employed at Sherwood Animal Hospital since September of 2007. Laura has been involved in the veterinary field for the last 15 years as a receptionist, assistant, and a nurse at an emergency veterinary practice.
At home Laura has a dog, Martini, and seven cats; Teddy, Garfield, Ewok, Sterling, Tigger, Beezer, and Monkey. In her free time she enjoys reading, gardening, spending time with her pets and her husband, Corey.

Katie Nichols, Veterinary Assistant

Katie joined the Sherwood Animal Hospital team in May of 2011 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has been working in the veterinary field for 7 years assisting in surgery, dentistry, and exams with doctors. Katie has been a wonderful addition to our team here, as she continues to grow and hone her skills as well as teach us new ideas and techniques.
At home Katie has 2 cats, Pennie and Phantom, and 2 dogs, Duke and Sadie. Katie enjoys hiking with her husband Aaron, being outdoors and spending time with her pets.

Kate Gardiner, Receptionist

Kate joined the Sherwood Animal Hospital team as a receptionist in June of 2011. She has been working in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant and through volunteering at shelters since graduation from high school. She brings alot of energy and fun to the front office environment, and she is always eager to help out our clients, and learn new things.
At home Kate has two “unique” Chihuahua mixes which she rescued from a puppy mill. In her free time Kate enjoys spending time with her pets and her boyfriend, Kevin. We are also very excited that she is due with her first baby in June of 2012!

Theresa Dobner, Kennel Assistant

Theresa has worked at Sherwood Animal Hospital as a Kennel Assistant for the last six years and really enjoys her job here. She loves spending time with the animals boarding at the clinic. At home, Theresa has 4 dogs: Mikey a 2-year-old Chihuahua, Lily a 7-year-old miniature dachshund, Bailey a 7-year-old golden retriever, and Gunther a 4-year-old golden retriever. In her free time, Theresa spends her time taking care of all her pets and says, “I wouldn’t want it any other way!”

Kris Gegare, Receptionist

Kris joined Sherwood Animal Hospital in August of 2007. She worked with us until February 2011, when she took a year off. We are very excited that she has decided to return to our team.
At home Kris has a dog, Oobie. 2 children, Conner, 14 and Kiley, 11. Her children are very active in sports, and Kris is a very active sports mom. In the spare time she does have, Kris enjoys running, marathons, camping with her husband Brad and children, or just relaxing for some well deserved down time.

Jill Frassetto, Book Keeper

Jill started working at Sherwood Animal Hospital in September of 2005 as a member of the kennel staff. In 2006 she became our book keeper due to her previous years in financial management. Jill also works for Forest Run Pet Cremation Services here in Sherwood.
When she is not busy working her 2 jobs, Jill stays active going on walks, biking, and gardening. Jill and her husband have 3 children, Abbi, Zach, and Dominic, and 2 dogs, Drake and Spirit.
